Yes
I was under the impression that on bright sunny days, I should use ISO 100 (or lowest available) but have seen quite a few bright outdoor photos lately where the exif says it's at 200.

To help get my head around this, I was thinking of using my Auto ISO and judging the outcome later (I usually use Aperture priority, or Manual when I'm feeling adventurous) and wondered if asking for trouble doing so.

Cheers

I wouldn't worry that you're hitting ISO 200 rather than ISO 100. (could you tell the difference?)

I raised a similar question a while ago and thanks to some helpful replies came to the conclusion that you shouldn't get too hung up on ISO.
Is ISO 100/200 the Holy Grail?

I personally concentrate on getting the shutter speed right and the aperture I want then let the camera sort the ISO. In daylight this seems to work fine for me.

Some camera's base ISO is 200, others is 100. Just use the lowest your camera's goes to before you hit L-1
