Autofocus not working

I have a Nikon D700. Not sure why but autofocus has stopped working. No change to settings i.e. not on manual focus, not lens dependent etc.

Any thoughts as to why and what I can do?

you definitely haven't accidentally nudged the three way switch at the front to 'M' from 's' or 'c'? I did that once

Are you using AF-s lenses or AF?

Depending on that, send it to a repair centre I guess if you are 100% sure you have checked all buttons are on AF, and you have cleaned the contacts on the camera mount and lenses

As said above really and have you got the af on the shutter or rear af on button.

Thanks for comments. Camera on way to repair centre. Hopefully won't cost too much!
