Not sure on this Les
The brightness and high saturation make it unnatural almost plastic

almost straight out of camera- no saturation adjustments made  maybe it the flash??

Les (y)

ps these are very waxy leaves to be honest

Just need some frost now hey? :)

Les :D

Woohoo get you... gorgeous colour against the background.. doesn't look at all plastic here, lighting looks ace too...(y)

Agree with the frost comments too and autumn leaves:D

Now steady on, I never said Freezing Fog, I work outdoors :LOL::LOL:

Les :D

Well if you get freezing fog, you can blame me, but as I work in a stuffy office, freezing fog is an absolute luxury :D

Did not say it was bad Les just my take on it and as said, others would love it :)

I notice flash fill has been used : where was the flash located?

Really lovely shot I love saturated colours :) makes me want to get out and take some pics

Is that quite a heavy crop Les? When I look at the background it looks pixellated. Loving the colours though and looks less plasticky than something thats not plastic.

Beautiful image! Love the colours.

I love Autumn and this inspires me to try and capture some Autumn shots

The flash was an off camera jobbie- 2 metres to the low right of shot and I used 1/8th power to try to highlight the hairy stem and give some rim lighting too

not really a heavy crop but I did shoot at iso 400 (my mistake) :bang:the pixels are possible being picked up from the green card I placed behind the leaves prior to shooting - maybe a tad too close to the subject??

Thanks all for the comments :D
