Hi,

Purely due to the fact that I may use the lens once or twice a year if that (skate parks etc) i'm looking at getting an auxillary fisheye such as...

from eBay or Amazon etc to screw on to my nifty-fifty. Does anyone have any recommendations? (and please don't just say 'get a dedicated fisheye' as I can't justify this for the amount of usage)

If you are only using it once or twice a year, why don't you hire the lens? The quality of these fisheye lens are not great!

Alternatively I would recommend getting a Lomo Film Fisheye. Yes the quality isn't great, but that's the point of the Lomo!
 
Actually, just doing the maths that 'fisheye' wouldn't be too good for your 50mm lens anyway! The formula for the focal length will be as below:

lens focal length x crop factor x adaptor factor = focal length

50 x 1.6 x 0.4 = 32mm

You would be much better off using it on an 18-55mm lens @ 18mm

18 x 1.6 x 0.4 = 11.5mm
