My iTouch won't work any more.

I can do everything but use the touch screen, which, I guess is the most important part...

I use it all the time at the gym and my 'to watch' podcasts are increasing by the day.

Warranty is out so looks like I'll have to buy a new one...

I have had my 1st gen touch for a few years now and touch wood, it's still as good as the day I got it. The battery is still good and because I kept it in a case from day one with the screen film still on, it is in perfect condition. I'll be gutted when it does give up the ghost

Sorry if it sounds super patronising but have you reset it? (home screen + power button) and tried reinstalling the software?

It's just that I had that happen to me once and luckily it wasn't hardware related.

No problems, Leanne, I've tried that an no luck.

It's been a great piece of kit and I've used it loads when at the gym.

only problem with touchscreens, if they receive a sharp knock theyre rendered useless.

believe me, we've replaced countless touchscreens on our tills through people dropping coathangers on them or tapping them with ballpoint pens is a good one..
