B&W 10stop or Lee Big stopper

Ny preference or major critics of either of these filters, am after one or the other but im not sure which yet....... Help please

Hi Gregoery

I find the Big stopper easier to use than the B+W if you also want to use other filters.They both produce different looking pictures colour wise.The lee has a slight blue cast while the B+W has a pronounced orange cast(great for sunrise/sunset shots).I much prefer the Lee when shooting during the day.
Out of the 2 I'd take the Lee.

Completely different really. Lee is part of a great big slot-in system which is expensive and currently the Big Stopper is on several weeks back order. If you want to get into grads and stuff, that's the way to go. HiTech Pro Stopper is a (cheaper) alternative.

Of the screw-in types, the new multi-coated B+W is probably the best, at a price, but otherwise I'd go for the LightCraftWorkshop ND500MC (from Premier Ink). In fact, I did - sold my regular B+W ND110 which has quite a strong orange cast (though they all have a bit of a cast).

Cool, ok i have the lee filters with a ND grad soft and hard set, i should of said which is better quality, will be used day adnd dawn and dusk so quality is a must really.....
