B+W 'E' Filters?

What does the E stand for?
Visiting Schneider optics page hasn't helped, and neither has google!
Found a few discussions on the web, but they're an equal amount of people that contradict each other!
Some saying it means multi coated, some single coated!
The filter in question i was looking at was a B+W 67E C-POL filter.
 
if its got white text its a older design/filter
