I initially thought this was a baby Goldcrest but after checking the web I am inclined to think this might be a young Firecrest due to the colour on its back and tail and darker legs. Opinions and C&C appreciated.

I'd stick with Goldcrest Christine... :shrug: ... even a juvenile Firecrest has a pretty distinctive grey eye stripe... ;)


This may just be a moulting adult though just looking a bit tired and tatty after the hectic breeding season... :D

I would go for a juvenile Goldcrest and what a cracking setting you have caught it in.
