Baby session with Aaron......

...... and his 20 month old sister joined in for a few.

Aaron is only 3 weeks old and came along for a shoot with his sister (their parents also came). I'm finding the really young babies the hardest as it is more about what I do than capturing them being them. Please suggest what to do with the really little ones. I went for the feet and hand shots but he wouldn't sit still for a second so they weren't great.

Props always work well with newborns, baskets, an old case, lots of throws, a bean bag to support the child to make it easier to pose them. They are such rewarding shoots, but hard work at the same time.

Craig, when you say too strong what do you mean, are you thinking a more pastel colour for your taste or is it something else?

Adam, I'm using a Lastolite Baby Poser covered with various materials depending if I'm using a white or black background and also if it is a boy or a girl. I will look at the cases and other props etc. Thanks for the advice.
