Im wanting something that i can back up my jpegs and raw files whilst im travelling
Dont want to take a laptop/netbook, ideally some form of small battery powered hard drive
The product im most interested in is the sandisk media drive as it seems to offer me the option to insert my sd card into it and copy my photos onto the device ssd
Has anyone used one of these
Can anyone think of any similar products
Thanks

Can i transfer from sd card to usb stick using this?
If so it might be a winner

Yep. It's Android only I think and you would need to ensure your phone is running a later version of Android.

I use the Sandisk Media Drive all the time via the iPhone or iPad App to save both RAW and video files. Can be a bit fiddly to insert the SD card in the slot. Also the initial short learning curve I found a bit steep but there are vids that come on the drive to assist. Also have all my equipment user guides in .pdf form on the drive so can access these in the iPad whilst out and about.

Bought the transcend otg reader..just swapped files back and forth between a sd card and usb stick..works a treat..could be best £9 ive spent in a while
Thanks for the tip
Just need to get a bigger usb stick and im all set up

Western digital do a hard disk with an SD card slot.

You can set it to make a backup if any card you plug in.
