You know the kinds of backdrops that go on a stand and roll down, all the photographers who did school photography had them?

They're like projector screens I suppose.

What are they called and where can I get them? *blushes*

Wondering if it would be worth getting one and stuff...

Just for portraits mostly I think.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm going to make a career out of it and all that malark (I'm not well, photography is my "release" if you like) but I do still life and anything really. With a backdrop like that it would be easy to put away and handy for portraits and bass guitar pics LOL

The project that I'm doing at the moment is portraiture and the past week or so I've really been thinking alot about backdrops and lighting.

Long term though, I'm always taking portrait shots of family mostly and I've been asked to do some with backdrops. The ones on a stand and a roll, the portable ones, would be more practical.

I'm not sure that I want something as big as this though
