Backdrops

Hey everyone,

Tried asking this in another forum and got no response.

What background material would you recommend for backdrop in studio. Preferably somthing that is portable, not a fixed backdrop. I have the stand, just seen lots of materials about.

Also whats the cheapest option?

Cheapest is your local fabric shop but it may not give good results. Cheaper material can be kind of thin and or shiny which is not good when you shine light on it. It depends on the colour you use but generally natural materials are less shiny than synthetic ones.

I use a mix of cheap fabrics from my fabric shop with more expensive lastolite ones just depending on the shoot I'm doing.
