Morning TP,

I am wanting to shoot a few portrait shots and havnt got a studio setup but am happy using my wireless flash etc and lighting up the room that way until I get my setup sorted.

In the mean time what do most amateurs use for a backdrop.

are there any good digital ones? and any tutorials for it?

Thank you for the help

Max

I used (well..use) some felt from a haberdashery, it works really well and isn't too reflective for use with flashguns, very impressed and only a few quid :)

Spring clamp your favorite textile to the curtain rod or as required with how/where you're shooting

I have used an on quilt cover, which is cream, but close to white. cut it down the open and and down the sides to give a long length, it was a double cover.

I also use a brown fleece banket, which gives a good effect.

I now have a pop up background, which has black and white sides, got it used on here.

I have also used a roller blind, on both the coloured and the white sides.
