looking to getting more into portrait photography and was thinking of investing in backdrops and getting a backdrop stand but dont know what would be best to get any help?

cheap as possible as its only going to be temporary for the moment

if you want as cheap as possible, then why not just do your portraits outside for now until you can afford something that you really want? i'm just saying that if cash is tight, it seems a waste to buy twice. just save up until you can get a permanent solution.

i do most of my portraits outside, the weather can be a pain but you've got pretty much unlimited combinations of colours and lighting, all for free!

for example, http://www.photography-backdrops.co.uk/ do some lovely backdrops for something textured... but they are expensive.
