Background Color problem help sought

Shooting some head shots with flash against a white lastolite background with my camera WB set to flash and the people’s skin tones and clothes look fine but the backgrounds no longer white but blue !
Help !
Any idea why this is happening ?

Could the ambient light be lighting the background rather than the flash?

You are lighting your subject ok but you are forgetting that the background need to be lit also.

Unusual, I would of thought the background would be grey if not lit, you could try changing your WB to flash

Not unusual, there is always some colour shift with underexposure.
