Backing up Pic

I have 2 folders, one on an external HD and the other on my internal HD. Both are called 'Pics'.

Is synctoy a good program to use to 'marry' up both folders so they both contain the same files? One folder has some folders that the other has and viceversa. I want to make sure i have the same pics saved on each drive. Thanks

Synctoy will do it but it doesn't give you much in the way of options.

I was a big fan of allway sync but the free version has limits on how many files it will sync. I'm now using Puresync which is also free but does not have limits. It also has loads of options about what gets copied and what if anything gets deleted. Downside is it is a bit more complicated to use than allway sync.

i use synctoy and it works fine for folder sync but wont give too many options in the way of backing up but its free and ok for home use, wouldnt recomend for business...

its not a backup, a backup will test the integrity of the files its backed up and make sure it all worked, sync toy can sometimes miss files without telling...
