I do consider that the main feature of this image is the backlight effect and that is possible due to the close proximity of the deer. To bring more landscape into the frame the deer would be more distant and the backlight effect is lost.

imo this shot offers a very distinctive viewpoint it would be a pity to display this deer in a very conventional setting.
