Following my backlit pepper shot in here: Food Glorious Food I thought I'd have a play with some other backlit fruit - not totally convinced these work but what the heck - it was fun having a go :)

Any comments, good or bad, are welcomed :)

Great effect, especially Orange 3.

Nice one (y)

Andy, Dave thanks for the comments - I have some work to do here I think :D

Something to while away the dark evenings I guess :)

Very clever John. I think the tom works best, I guess as the skin is thinner it lets the light pass through more readily. In fact, it looks almost like a cell or something at microscopic levels....

I think that #2 works best for me,the only thing I would have preferred is for the lighting to be more even over the whole slice. #4 looks like some giant red planet they show on The sky at night:D

Looking forward to seeing what else you come up with.

Karin, Laura thanks very much - more experiments to come I hope :)

Wow, radioactive fruit :)

I like the tomato, but can't work out whether it's an effect of the backlighting, or whether it's a bit OoF.

I think its in focus at the surface of the tom Lee and the oof effect is perhaps the lighting. All these were manually focussed and lookee spot on at the time :)
