I'd like your opinions on how I work and any thoughts you can provide on how suitable/reliable my backups are.
Bodies
5d2
5d classic
(long term I would like to add another 5d2 for the low light work)
Lenses
24-70L (does 90% of my work)
70-200L (does my tele work but is too big and white for wedding work tbh)
85/1.8 (did 75% of my work pre 24-70 now lives on second body)
50/1.4 (true backup is fairly rarely used)
28/1.8 (rarely used at weddings but a nice way to go wide with shallow DoF or really low light)
(long term I would like a 135L to live on that second 5d2 while my assistant runs the classic with a prime)
Flashes
580exII
430exII
YN-460
I intend to add at least one more 580exII and hopefully an einstein and vagabond over the next few weeks to push my ocf work higher
I use RF602s as triggers which I intend on upgrading to Phottix Atlas's as they're cheaper + better than PWs (coming from the only guy I know who has owned both - and sold the +2s), these give me transceivers which can backup either module (unlike now needing a spare Tx and Rx) and they use AAs which are flash batteries and I carry proper en masse.
I carry 2 nano stands with umbrella adapters a super clamp and a ball head in the peli with the triggers and YN with these live a pair of big 5 in 1 reflectors a small umbrella (36" dual duty) and a lastolite softbox (to be replaced with an apollo for portability durability and flexibility reasons). As and when needed I have a 13' stand and 5' umbrella which go in the motor unless specifically needed (along with the monolight when its bought)
Atm I have only my laptop to edit on, I intend on maybe buying a desktop when I have some money in case the laptop dies irreparably one day. (I do have a spare lappy drive and a hail mary box of dvds with photoshop, lightroom, windows and office on). Image backup is atm to multiple internal sata drives in caddies (to be turned into a caddy on my desk and a pair of fileservers - one in house one in workshop long term) I sync my documents around aswell.
I have one tripod, but its a ****ing tripod so meh (also I hate the head but thats unrelated)
I'd like all your thoughts on my backups and general set up
