Bad day.

On my lazy sunday, I was looking around the walls in my uni room and thought, I could spice them up with some pictures, even with some of the crap I've taken. However when i plugged my harddrive in to start some edits, all I got was an error saying it needed formatting, therefore it would seem all my photos are gone! Will serve me right for only having them on one place, but still. A years worth of stuff gone. It's quite gutting.

Give the exact error it gave, maybe a screenshot too. We'll get you right as rain in no time.

Take it to a nerd. They will most likely be able to rescue the info before you format. All is not lost

Try taking it out of the caddy and plugging it directly into your PC or failing that, try it in a different PC.
