Nothing special really just messing about using a different lens that I've mounted on the camera via a home made telescopic extension tube (still in the prototype try out stage).

Nikon D800, 105mm Boyer Saphir-(B) lens, 1/250th @ F11, 100-ISO, Modified Ring Flash.

Very nice shot, George. Surprisingly good light from a ring flash. Did the springtail stay in that pose for long?

Thanks for that Kurt, much appreciate your comments.(y)

It stayed like that for I guess around 5-10 seconds. Probably long enough to do a stack but as I'm not yet into those it's just a straight shot.

OOh... I like the look of that, I bet you are pleased with that lens. How much do you want for it? :naughty:

Thanks for that Timmy, really appreciate your comments.(y)

Shhh! Don't tell anyone but the lens is an enlarging lens that we use for some of our 6x7cm film work. It's optically superb and a very flat field. So it's not for sale, but I looked on the original box and as you can guess it was very expensive it cost us the huge amount of :- £22.50 from Mr Cad.:):)
