Bad sensor?

Try covering your eyepiece, I'm pretty sure its just light leak. Heard about this when I was looking into long exposure.

With filters you have 20 or 30 sec shutter speeds which is allowing stray light coming back in through the viewfinder to be collected enough to become noticeable and without a filter you have 1/250 shutter speed and possibly your eye to the viewfinder(blocking light).

the pinkish / purple colour cast is common with some brands of filters ( i use a haida pro ll and that gives a slight soft grey which is great as i shoot alot of black and whites ).

one test also is to set up a piece of white card and shoot only at that. one with the eye cover exposed and some light bright light behind you and one with eye piece covered and bright light behind you.
if its the eye piece letting in light then easy fix as you can get a cover for couple of quid or less ( probably make one for a few pence ) or if the stripes and still there then i would look at the filters and try then with different lens/ camera if you can to rule out your own camera.
 
Glad you sorted it. How did you cover the viewfinder? You probably already know but just in case you don't there's a little clip you get for the strap in the box of the D7100. You take off the eye piece and clip the strap clip onto it instead to block out the light. The only reason I say this is because I never knew that's what it was for when I had my D7100 haha!
