Hi all i have just recieved my new 300 2.8 (thank's kerso) and i am looking to get a backpack style bag to carry it in whilst attached to my mkiin.
I would also appreciate any views on some sort of cover as it is quite big and white:),ihave seen some on 'bay but don't know if they are any good.
Any comments/suggestions are welcome.

lenscoat are good but a bit pricey. i think Stealth Widlife do something similar. As for a bag, the Lowepro lenstrekker 600 AW II will comfortably hold the 300 with hood extended, teleconvertors and body

Kinesis L511 long lens case, works well for me, find it a lot better than the lenstrekker600

Lowepro Photo Trekker AWII, fantastic bag, carry's 1D + 300mm f2.8 attached, room for 300mm f4, 70-200mm f2.8, 24-105mm f4 and 20D, plus other bits, the best bag I 've owned, plus it has a daysac to put extra's in like waterproofs or your cheese sarnies in, very comfortable on the back, walked up hills in Wales with it on and well worth every penny. Can't fault it

As for a rain cover, would recommend this company, link below

Another vote for the photo trekker, the 300 2.8 will fit with the hood on.

ok thank you all for your replies i will look at all of these, does anyone know if kinesis have a uk distributor?
