Yes
right, so decided on lens, but now need to think about a bigger bag because mine isn't big enough.

£50-60 budget would be great.

any ideas for a good bag? would prefer a shoulder bag.

KiteNinja has a Lowepro Fastpack 350 (I think it's the 350)

He can fit the exact same camera in, plus other lenses and bits. Solid build, too. It's got the side entry feature so you can swing the bag round your shoulder to access the camera, like in this pic:

Looks like a 5D + 100-400mm in the pic.

They go for about £50-60 new, I think!

Depends if you want it to carry JUST the camera/lens. If so, I've been looking at the think tank holsters - depending on what you have attached...

well, i'd need to carry camera + lens + flash and a couple of pockets for lens wipes, memory cards etc. it's not a bag to store all my kit, just something i can walk around with. i have one of the smaller stealth reporters at the mo, it's a nice bag but it's a bit snug with the camera + 135.

The slingshot 200 holds my 50D with 70-200 F4L attached. It is a very tight fit so if the 5dmk2 and f2.8 is any bigger it wont fit.

I manage to fit a 50D with a 70-200 2.8IS attached into my Lowepro Classified 250AW bag no problem.

thanks all.

just stumbled across the "Samsonite Trekking Premium DFV130" for less than £40 on amazon. (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000CDF63G/ref=ox_ya_os_product)

internal dimensions are: 36 cm x 20.5 cm x 22.5 cm

the according to digital picture the 70-200 lens is almost exactly 20cm long (with hood inverted) and 8 cm wide. the 5d2 won't add any more than 10cm to this.

what you reckon? seems a bargain?

Whatever you choose make sure it doesn't shout 'I am a camera bag'. It is a health and safety thing. Mine looks like an ordinary and a little muddy backpack. Nobody wants to see the contents.

Another vote for the Fastpack 350. I've been looking for an everyday carry bag as an alternative to my Tamrac Exped7.For the price I got it £49 it is exactly what I want. Camera +70-200, 100mm macro, 24 - 105 and flash, + odss and sods and laptop. Excellent bag, and comfortable.

I have a fastpack 250 and they are fantastic. just for the fact of being able to sling the bag around and off one shoulder to get access to your camera is a big bonus and saves having to put the bag down all the time to access anything. Im looking at upgrading soon to one that will carry two bodies etc but for a single body with two or three lenses these are ideal.

Im unsure of the dimensions of the 70-200 but there is a fair amount of room in them. If you get the dimensions I can measure mine if you like. the 350 would give even more room. The only downside I have with these is that there is no tripod holder.
