Bag for the lot..

I need some help to pick a bag that will carry most of my gear.

When I go away for a weekend, or a weeks holiday, I usually take 2 bags, as I can't fit everything I think I might need into one bag.

Is there a one for all bag, which is regarded as one of the best, to carry a 7D, several lenses, a flash + extras?

Billingham 5 series (225/335/445) - they're expensive, but you're unlikely ever to want to buy another camera bag (unless it's another Billingham).

Have spent a fortune on bags - wished I'd seen the light earlier.

Has anyone got some pics of what a Billingham looks like inside, with camera & extras?
 
I was looking for a larger bag and managed to get This one from focus.

I must admit for the money i am very happy. getting two "Gripped bodies" in is tight but a very good bag non the less. It is about the same size as a vertex 300 which is the other alternative I was looking at but at a better price.
 
I've got a Tamrac Ultra Pro 13 that I've now outgrown. It's a shoulder bag and I've had 2 gripped bodies, 5 lenses (Canon 100-400 L, 70-200 2.8 L and 24-105 L included), 2 flashguns, a 17" laptop, a TC and a set of tubes plus all the chargers, batteries etc in it quite comfortable. It's only since I got a Sigma 150-500 OS that I've run out of room in it and now it's sat upstairs redundant.

I'll second that. Fantastic bags, expensive but I think mine will outlive me.

My Billingham 445 comfortably swallows the following:-

Nikon D7000 body, gripped
Nikon D3100 body
Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8, hood removed
Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8, hood removed
Nikon 50mm f/1.4, hood reversed
Nikon 35mm f/1.8, hood reversed
Yongnuo YN-465 Speedlight with Stoffen
Panasonic Lumix GF1 with Panasonic 20mm f/1.7
Panasonic 14mm f/2.5
Panasonic Lumix LX5
Yongnuo RF-603 Trigger, x2
Sekonic Flashmate L-308S
Black Rapid RS-7 Strap
D7000 mains charger + lead
Nikon MB-D11 AA battery pack

I suspect a 335 would be ideally suited for what you've listed.

I plummed for the 335, as you say I feel it will give me the room I require.

Did you upgrade to better strap, or is the standard version just as good?
 
I have an old Billingham bag, about the size of a 335.
At about 25 yrs old, its still as good as new, holds 2 bodies and 4 lenses in the main compartment, then theres still loads of pockets and extra space.
You'll have fun filling yours up. The shoulder pad is a worthwhile investment though as it gets heavier.

Not yet. The standard one seems adequate for now, though I must admit I don't carry the fully loaded bag far on my shoulder.

I swap between a Lowepro Vertex 300 and the Tamrac Ultra Pro 13. If anything, the Tamrac holds more which surprised me.

Which bag do you use now you have the 150-500?

i outgrew my lowepro 350, and havejust purchased a 400 aw flipside (£50 amazon) and and more than happy with it... and still got plenty of space left for more additional stuff as n when it arrives....
