Having spent the last 3 months chopping and changing backpacks I have finally got the 2 I want, 1 big one for all the gear and 1 little one for a time where photography is only a byproduct.....................BUT :bang: I went out today in the mud and cold, and what a pain changing lenses is, is it just me or do thers have this problem, at this rate i could end up with 10 bags :eek:. I woundt mind but I have had and sold 2 shoulder bags as I found them cumbersome

Im now trawling around looking for a cheap messenger style bag just to hold the spare lenses for quick changing
 
oh - do I know how that feels...

I've got 3 bags so far with a fourth already ordered.

My first one was a LowePro Street&Field Rover which was great for walking because it allows for extra stuff and limits the amount of equipment I can take with me (which is a good thing when your carrying it all day long)

Then I got myself a small Crumpler shoulder bag - just for the camera and one or two lenses - I use that for short city trips or weddings and parties.

And then I got a ThinkTank Street Walker Pro which fits all of my gear and is used when I go around by car and just want to have everything with me.

Finally I've ordered a F-Stop Loka to replace the LowePro - will see how that turns out.

All in all I think that when you have a certain amount of gear you need different packs for different purposes. There perfect bag for all occasions does not exist (in my opinion). And the industry just knows that and produces bags for all occasions...
BTW - I'm also thinking of getting a ThinkTank Retrospective shoulder bag - just to have it when the need arises :bonk:
 
i had and sold a crumpler Long Schlong, I found the strap to be very harsh and rigid

meruby: I think the bag I want is the ThinkTank Retrospective shoulder bag too, i just cant justify the £115 to buy it, although I have a stake in a friend whos playing in a poker tournamant today, and if by some miracle she wins i may get the bag along with something else to put in it (fingers crossed :clap:)
 
I know your pain, my house is stacked with bags, main one is the Kata HB-207, then i have a KatA DR-467 and 3 Crumplers which are fantastic quality bogs.
