Bag recommendation

I shall hopefully receive my Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 before the weekend, to attach to my D90. Together with my 18-105mm kit lens, that is the full extent of my gear. I would like a (not too big) bag which can carry the Sigma whilst fitted to the Nikon, plus the kit lens. Any recommendations?

Are you after a rucksack type bag, or a shoulder bag? If the latter, I'd strongly advise looking at the crumpler range, they're well made, and fairly inconspicuous. Take what the website says with a pinch of salt though, they're very optimistic regarding what will fit in their products!

The first thing you need to decide is what type of bag you want. Do you want a travel bag that stores your camera and a few other bits when you take thme away somewhere, such as a small backpack, or do you want a bag to actually shoot from, taking the camera in and out regularly, such as a shoulder bag or waist belt type.

It's not a shoulder bag but I have a Lowepro Fastpack 250 and think it's excellent. http://products.lowepro.com/product/Fastpack-250,2086,14.htm It's still quite small and not too bulky.

It will fit a 70-200 I think, I hope so as I should get my Canon 70-200 f2.8 tomorrow. It will also fit a few other lenses and bits and pieces. I often put a zoom, my 17-40 and all the usual batteries/memory cards etc in plus my binoculars if I am going to shoot wildlife or aviation.

The top compartment will fit a rain coat or some sandwiches in so is good if you are heading out for an afternoon.

Also it has a laptop pocket on the back that will fit up to a 15.4 in.

Have a look at the reviews here: http://www.cambags.com.
I rate the Lowpro stealth range when it comes to shoulder bags.

Ideally want the Sigma on the D90 body whilst in the bag, so quite a deep combo.

Hi
A strange bag but a great bag is the lowepro 85AW, will carry your body and tele attached, up to 4 more lenses plus bits and bobs.
I got mine as new for £20 on the bay
If you want to go the full hog money no object Bilingham 555 carry camera and lens plus 5-6 other lenses, all your bits, lunch, shower proof jacket, books to read and still have room for more.

The 85aw is deep but also try the 75aw, nowhere near as big but a great walk about bag.

Dont overlook the Red Snapper bags. I have one and think it's well up to the job.

...I have a d90 with 18-200 attached, room for another lens and flash plus bits and bobs all in a nice lowepro stealth reporter aw100 shoulder bag.

Suits me...not keen on the one you've ordered at all!! :)

Didn't realise the lens was that physical size... you may have needed the next bag or two up :D
