I'm looking for a new bag, but not a rucksack! I'm thinking a shoulder type bag? For my style of shooting I carry 2 bodies with lenses attached. Ideally I want them pointing down into the bag side by side so I can grab either one. I do carry a few other bits ie couple of flashes triggers etc but not huge amounts. Any ideas?

Sounds like the job for a large messenger style bag if you want the cameras pointing downwards :shrug:

I have my gear in a hard case that is locked in the boot of the car and attached to the car when I'm out, but I don't want to carry it around
so have the smaller bag which will easily fit a couple of bodies with lens attached and room to spare

Have you considered Black Rapid? A DR1 and both would be at your side and ready for action. I've used it for long long days with heavy gear and my neck (which is weakened after a car accident) was fine. You'd still need a bag but could use whatever you've currently got and keep the cameras ready to go.

Yes, Lowepro Event Messenger 250, perfect. I particularly like the way the flap folds back easily and neatly (shown on that link/video from 0.46) against your body and out of the way, holding the bag open. Cheap too
