London Bakerloo Line

Going up to London tomorrow and schedule would suggest Bakerloo Line would be an option to use.
Now all my research says it's filthy, slow, unbearably hot and unreliable - is it really that bad?

Paddington to Charing Cross - not far but want to get there!

If you want ultra-modern and don't mind walking, Elizabeth Line to Tottenham Court Road, then walk.

Its not that bad, depending on time you are traveling it will be fine.

Bakerloo is perhaps better than some of the others as it's a deep line, but they are all much of a muchness, except Jubilee line which is much newer so better

Hopefully escalators not stairs at Charing Cross then!

While the Bakerloo line might be one of the oldest on the network, it's perfectly fine, unless you're going in rush hour, and yes, Charing cross does have escalators

It's certainly not the worst line by far. If the OP were going from Charing Cross eastwards on the jubilee line that would be worse. Also IIRC the piccadilly line is a lot hotter.

Actually the Backerloo line is a little warmer than the Piccadilly line, the warmest is the Victoria line, it's lovely down there on a winters day.

Did 20,000 steps today and that was about as much as I could have done, it's not getting easier!
