Just got a 500mm mk2, upgraded form a mk1. I am really enjoying the reduction in weight, but the lens is balanced so much better on its own that when I use it on the gimbal it is very hard to get it to balance correctly as it is now camera heavy (mk1 was always too front heavy). It seems like I have to nearly slide the ends to one end of the gimbal foot to get it nearly balanced correctly and only with a 5dmkiii. Must be impossible on a 1 series body.
Has anyone else had these issues? Got any ideas for replacement foot or other fix? I haven't found anyone else mentioning this at all yet.
