Ball head for Tripod & Monopod

I currently have a Benro Aluminium Travel Angel Tripod A2680T+ BH1 Head (A268M8+BH1M) & a Manfrotto 680B monopod. I'm looking for an upgrade ball head to fit both items & possibly replace the BH1M on the tripod.

Can anyone recommend a ball head replacement, that will offer better functions than my current one. I have a spend of around £100.

What's your present one not doing that you want it to? I have a Giottos MH1311-652 Series 2 Ball Head which seems fine, is well made and costs about £60. They have quite a big range depending on how much weight you want to put on it and whether you want a plate or not.

I can't pan with my current ball head. I've been looking at the Manfrotto 498RC2, which looks good.
