I've been thinking about buying a better ball head to use on my Gitzo 1542 Traveller legs. Markins and Photo Clam both do a compact head which looks to fit my requirements. There are several sellers from Korea on ebay doing these heads at good prices so I'm wondering if anyone here has bought from such sellers and if they are indeed genuine items or just knock offs?

Reckon the Markins will be the genuine article, I have an M10 and they are made in Korea anyway

Photo Clam seems like a very similar product and probably a clone like the many Gitzo tripod copies

You will get hit with all sorts of duty from Asia, so why not buy from here https://www.photoproshop.com/index.php
 
:plusone: on photoproshop, that's where I bought my Q20 from, though be warned that occasionally their staff can be a little confusing in email comms - I got an email telling me that there'd be a delay of 5 days because they were out of stock, and just 20 minutes later a 'It ships today!' email.

Overall though, great service.

And Markins is a wonderful choice of ballhead - very very sturdy and lightweight - when my order DID arrive (which was only 2-3 days after ordering, despite them 'being out of stock') I thought the package only had the arca plate given it's weight.
 
Thanks for that guys. In my heart of hearts I think I knew I have to start saving for an order through Photoproshop! ;)
