Does anyone have any experience with Barebulb flash kits, like this one?

They look pretty crap, but would be interested to hear opinions.

Photomart really ought to get a new photographer so we can actually see what they're selling...
I haven't seen this particular kit but if the bulbs are what I think they are, they have almost non existent power and take forever to recycle, and have no adjustment for power.

I did a quick search and came up with this LINK

I can't say I've ever come across them before. But I'm not impressed Chris.

cheers

The looked crap, and there's really not much info on Photomart about them! I was just curious, as if they were any good it'd be useful to have something that small and portable.

Thanks for the kind comments, maybe this may help , in terms of the actual barebulb, as opposed to the kit-

Yes, that helps, it does seem to be an update of the type that Jessops sold a few years ago.

Not sure from the description how much power it produces. Flash power isn't expressed in watts, so is this Ws or 'equivalent to 60 watts of continuous light' or something else? Do you have a guide No? If it is 60 Ws then it will be about the same power output as a hotshoe flash, which isn't too bad.

I wil get this checked out Garry, thanks.
