Unfortunate about the fence but I don't think there is any other way that you can catch the wing spread.

That is the catch 22 situation - with the fence you get the wing spread but with that backdrop - without the fence to hang onto it would not be able to stretch its wings like that, clone the fence out and it will just look weird and it is too close to the fence to loose it with a very shallow DOF.

However that is a cracking view of the wing spread which would normally not bee seen.
