One from my encounter with the barn owl, light was strange this day a cool dull one but was still good to see them.

As mentioned above, very simple composition, but most effective.

The subtle tones of the image, coupled with shallow depth of focus make the shot, shame you did not have a nice low setting sun to really light up the bird, but cracker all the same.

1D series body now kaz ? .... how does Paul manage to carry all that :D

Just a useless bit of information, it looks like a male barn owl. Both the male and female have spotted breasts, but the male has a predominantly white breast where the female is more heavily spotted.
