It was tricky to get focus right as it was the narrow 10mm gap wire like fence, I wanted the effect so had a bit of a mess around focusing on things a similar distance and just persevered, I like that I got the image I wanted to, as Nick says the additional nod to the theme.

An automatic security gate, it was a very fine mesh, possibly only 10mm wide gaps at most, you will have seen the type Kell
 
I like your weathered shot but you faded shot is another level. Creates a story in the viewers mind.

Lots of long wave bands Alan,

You can go up the top of a hill and have a one hundred yard aerial and get long wave stations from the other side of the world, some interesting stuff on there, especially the geek stations.

I was only playing at it, the good stuff is more expensive than cameras. :)

It's a niche thing Alan but although there have been a lot of channel closures there is still a dedicated bunch of enthusiasts producing content and listening in.
 
Nice, sometimes I wish I could pull the batteries out of some of the cars that roar past our house...:cool:

The moon being a companion of earth is goanna out last human civilisation.

Google says it will have drifted 38km further away over 1 million years. Whether humans will be here in a million years is one of science's biggest open questions. While humanity possesses the technological capacity to survive global threats, we face unprecedented challenges—such as nuclear risks, climate change, and self-annihilation—that could drive us to extinction much sooner.

We wont last that long, when I spin a 2p coin on its axis it slows down and shifts axis. I believe that we have had numerous axis shifts in the planets history the most recent "the biblical floods" where the earth possibly shifted on its axis resulting in massive movements of water with Sunami type waves and destroying all civilization, Some of the ancient cuneiform texts, particularly the list of "kings before the flood" made little sense before the discovery of Gobekli Tepi and its magnificent 11 thousand year old architecture.

How frequent these events are is anyones guess,

Thanks Simon, I thought that as well and tried to position it as a start of a golden spiral type position I cropped the top off the image which was all sky to get the width and edge of the right tree in, which I thought also had an interesting shape and continued the "circular" effect of the main tree.

Thanks Dave, nothing to do with me, the camera film and developer did all the work, I only had to crop a bit off.
 
Like the contrast between the gates and the darker elements of the shot, it does look inviting as it leads somewhere nice, hopefully :)
