As most know I am helping the stroke charity I belong to set up a photography class for both stroke survivors and carers etc.

I now have confirmed 10 people attending but not everyone has a camera and some have camera phones and 1 has a good set up and someone else has a sci fi platform that was donated and made for him, by you lot.

I have emailed the PR people for a well known chain of computer shops asking if they could donate enough cameras for the charity to use for this course, plus future courses that we can hold. So I thought if all members on the course are using the same digital cameras then at least we can all help each other, so I was wondering with your extensive knowledge of cameras, if this company can donate to the charity then what sort of camera do you think would be best? Bearing in mind there are a number of issues ranging from disabilities of individuals plus a great age range of people that this is going to be used for.

Last year as a thank you I took a load of photos and along with a local photographer put together a calendar, I printed them at home and bound them etc took me Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeks:eek: and sold a few hundred quids worth for the charity. So part of my idea behind this first course is to get those involved in the course to have their photos printed in next years calendar.

You can either leave a message on here for me or pm me or email me at js@think-ahead.org.uk

Cheers
Julian

Julian, could you PM your snail mail address so I can send you the Dimage 5 as promised before everyone kicked into overdrive for you. It's still in the loft at the moment (I've got a screwed knee which makes the steps a bit awkward but can easily send my wife up to get it down!).
