Hi, I know Duracell, ansman and energiser are all good brands. Please list in order of preference, 1 being the best and most proffered. I would kindly appreciate your opinions
 
3rd party camera batteries, I'm thinking of getting a spare lpe8

Rest 3

Why? Because Duracell & Energizer are battery companies with enormous amounts of brand equity and they shouldn't be in a hurry to crap in their own garden...
 
I've paid top dollar and budget off Ebay and being honest have never had a dud nor seen any advantage from the labelled brands. I don't believe there are all that many battery factories in China /Japan and I bet most different brands come out through the same set of doors.

I agree but the brands have way more to lose from dubious QA processes.
 
They are also the ones more likely to be faked so I would never buy a premium brand off eBay unless it was from a known seller.
 
I do wonder why people will often be shooting with over £500 of kit, or in many cases £1k plus, and think about saving a few pounds on a cheap battery? If that goes, the camera is useless

I've bought about 10 3rd party batteries for 3 cams over 5 years. Had 1 DOA and 1 that gave up the ghost after a month of use. All the rest are still in use. Prices ranged from £9 to £16-ish where OEM ones are around £60+.

Works for me.
 
just bought a duracell for 18.99 inc postage. comes with a 3 year warranty so that'l do me!
