Having read through the threads for the best AA batteries to get I keep reading about these battery chargers that trickle charge & analyse them - but which battery charger does this & can someone recommend a descent trickle/analyser charger....

It just got me thinking that getting a EN-EL4a & mh-22/21 charger was just toooo stupid an idea just to get an additional 1 fps from my Gripped D300s so thought that it would be AA's (which I have many of) but need a decent battery charger.... I'm using/have uniross 2700mAh's incase any one asks...

You can get 8fps from AA's - you don't need the EN-EL4a if you just want 8fps.

Much cheaper (but not quite as light)
 
I am using two of the Uniross sprint chargers for AA batteries.. They come with 4x 2700mAh batteries and a car charger lead as well as a mains. Got them from Media-R-Us via Amazon marketplace £14.99.

Small compact chargers that will charge these batteries in around 2 ½ hours. I found that resetting the charger after the batteries were charged, to give them a "Little extra" made a improvement on their life

I've got one of those already ;) Quite handy though as can use the in-car charger .....
 
I bought an earlier version of this Ansmann charger from Budget Batteries a few years ago. Very pleased with it and it charges 4 AAs in 30 minutes ! My one plugs into 12v for charging from the car - looks like the new one probably would too.

I have been using GPBatteries and Ansmann batteries from the same company, both makes seem good value.
 
The BC-900 battery charger will discharge, analyse and recharge AA & AAA batteries giving an indicidual readout for each cell. It charges four cells at a time and adjusts the charge for each cell. It is also user changeable to accommodate differing preferences for charging. Price is approximately £39 from various sellers including Amazon.

Using the discharge function it will also re-cycle NmH batteris.
