Yes
Has anybody bought any of these 3rd party grips.? There seems to be a lot of them on the internet from £20.00 to £60.00 + the canon ones are nearer £140.00 can anybody recommend the best to buy. (not canon)

The Hahnel, HERE gets good revues on the forums, but not as cheap as some of the other. A pal of mine has the Opteka grip and reckons it's the Dees Bees, as good as the Canon anyway! HERE

Only difference of course is that the Canon will keep a better sell-on price!

Just found one for sale on here LINKY Looks like a bargain to me!!

I have the Ansmann one for the 40D, cheap and does the job although I find that the shutter (both body and on the grip) become a little "hair trigger" when it's attached. Maybe I just need to adjust my default set-up when using it. Because of this (and because I find the bulk of any grip awkward) I tend to only use it for sports.

Look for Meike too, they are superb. I have one on my 5d2 and had one on my origional 40D.

Canon ones are nice but I don't think they are worth the extra ( my opinion only )

I have just bought the grip that is advertised. thanks
Should think so! well done you! Make sure all trading is done on the thread though!
Enjoy and happy new year!
