Anyone know much about these things ?
I have a sigma EF 500 DG Super (the longest name ever for a flash, surely..) and am curious about a battery pack (by that, I mean the battey box that sits in your pocket, connected by a cable to the flashgun giving more flashes, and more importantly, faster charging times)
Is there such a thing, and who sells them, are they worth looking at etc..?

Thanks,
steve

From memory the sigma can't take an external power pack as there's no connection point for one. Main reason why I ended up buying a 580 EX. Or maybe I was too stupid to find it and wasted cash.

Dod - seems like you may be right, as eve Sigma have told me they do not know of one that will fit (quantum have yet to reply to my email..)
Anyone want to swap a sigma for a 430 ?

Never say never. I've seen people make dummy battery packs to go into their flashes with leads going out to an external pack. Not as simple as buying something over the shelf but if you really want an external power supply it gives you an option.
