Yes
I am looking for recommendations for a BBQ sauce that you can baste as you cook on a BBQ.
There is so much choice and not sure if all can be used in that way.

The best one I've used is Tiptree, although I haven't seen it in the supermarkets for a while
Just this one ?

Living in Essex most of our local garden centres do it and have 2 of their tearooms quite close as well

Yes, that's the one. I don't like tomatoes so I often use it in recipes that use tinned tomatoes.

I use a combination of ketchup, vinegar, sweetener and Worcestershire sauce. Picked up a bottle of barbecue ketchup the other day so will be giving that a try next time (I'm lazy!)

Baby Rays is our fave, although I usually cook with it rather than BBQ.

I've not tried many but the ones I have seem so sweet - are any of the above recommended ones less sweet than say Heinz bbq sauce?

Stubbs is the sauce we prefer; spicy for me, original for my wife. Neither is particularly sweet, but the spicy can be too much for some. Don't think you are likely to find it in your local grocery though.
