For me, first one's a bit 'depressing', and think the second one would have been better with the horizon placed further up the frame.

I like the second image, think the first one needs brightning or some colours to stand out.

Second one I think makes a nice shot, nice colours in the sea. I'm kind of wondering if by shooting down a little more there might have been more interest on the beach (or maybe there was something you didn't want in framce).

For me, first one's a bit 'depressing'

The light is rather flat, which really doesn't help.

If you'd maybe stepped back a couple of feet, you'd have avoided cutting off the edges of the boats at the bottom of the frame.

Second one, the water does look rather delicious to swim in, but there's nothing much to hold my attention beyond that.
