Beach wonder

Packed my gear up & started off down the beach, when I got there I had lost interest.

Mulled about for a while then went home.

Anyone else get days like that?

no, never. I envy you for actually packing your gear up and getting to the beach... i normally just 'think' of where i'd like to go and then something else always crops up to do instead :bonk:

Yes, definitely.
Unless I have a specific shot I am after, sometimes when I go out with no plan, I find it hard to find inspiration.(Depends where you go of course)
At the moment there are a few shots I want to try and get, so when I go out I will go to one of the locations and aim to get what I am after.
Of course, when I get there the weather will probably change and then I'll get hacked off and go home !

Yeah, but not so much lose interest as fail to find anything inspiring.

Other times, it seems that the photography and any other recreational pursuit are at odds with each other and so I just 'give up' on the photography (but it sometimes goes the other way).

I never go out on a whim, i make sure there is a shot i want before i leave or the reason im going out is to continue a project. I never leave the house without a camera mind you but it mostly sits on the passenger seat

As I still have a lot to learn there is always something I could practice once I am out, but I do have moments when I think of a shot, get there, and find I'm totally wrong or lost interest as it would work as I thought it would. In which case, I go to the pub
