Yes, I have been away for a week down to Northumberland and Yorkshire.
Took a Nikon D70s with a DX 35 mm prime and a Tamron 18-200 zoom.
I have taken abput 1K photographs.
It was not as photography holiday, but I went out every morning in the local villages and wandered about just shooting with the 35mm.
Today we went to Durham, never been, what a nice place, wish I could have stayed longer.
Tomorrow is the last day and we are going to Yorkshire in the first part of the day.
During this break we went to Hull and The Deep aquarium, which was impressive but for me hard to take photographs.
Any way I will have over 1K photos to download and look at, delete and sift through.
Hopefully I will have a good amount that are fit for here and my portfolio in general.
I would say I have leaned and had lots of fails but all hopefully for the overall good.
The camera, well I like it, don't know much else really when it comes to DSLRs, but I did struggle at times in the woods and the aquarium. And at others with the bright sun, so bright I could not see the settings inside the camera.
So it is time to edit .
I now know what a DX lens is and some other things about camera settings, biggest thing is I have learned.
Bought a book by Charlotte Graham, Yorkshire People, I loved it and its inspiring to me.
To say I am enjoying my photography is an understatement.
