...are these any good for my 50mm f1.8

What do they do? They seem to be magnifying filters, do i need a macro lens for these...

...i pulled them out of a box of my Grandad's camera gear.

The other one is marked 'Skylight 1A' ...is this similar to a UV filter?

The 'star six' gives you a six pointed star effect on your highlights.

The +1,+2,+3 will be close up filters, allowing you to focus closer than you could normally.

The diffuser will be a soft focus type filter probably.
