Fabulous Kev,lordy lord kez is such a little ruffian. I didn't realise just how many birds of prey they mug or how little they care if the bird they are robbing is twice their own size. i've seen a local female pull a sparrow hawk out of the sky let alone barnie and shorty.

fabulous capture Kev,i've never been good enough to capture any of this as of yet !!

I've seen this too at a hide back in March, so much so, that there was concern that the kestrel might drive the resident sparrowhawks away from the site. The sparrowhawks are still there though and I've not heard recent reports of the kestrel.
