Just bought (today) a MB-D80 for my D90, connected it ok, although it appears to short out my D90 and just display the batteryometer with one bar showing - even though both batteries are fully charged.

When I unscrew the MB-D80 slightly, it all appears ok and works ok, but as soon as I rotate 90 degrees or move the camera, lil ol' batteryometer displays with just one bar showing.....

wondered whether anyone else had experienced this..?

just sorting out the returns address label as you read this !

to conclude, tried it with another D90, all ok, noticed middle contact inside my d90 at slightly different angle...adjusted, reconnected - all appears fine...
