Just wondering as a fairly new entrant to the photography world whether there are any good places providing reviews of essential photographic equipment such as tripods, bags, flash guns etc. I know I can ask here for opinions on various items but it would be useful to have a reference point for some reviews. There are plenty around for cameras and some for lenses but I haven't found anything for other equipment.

That's a start.
Thing to remember is that folk have biases so do not accept any single review as gospel. Search around and find what several others have to say.
Google is your friend.

Yes, with reviews you have to remember the review is the opinion of the reviewer only.

That's why requests for suggestions on what to buy are not necessarily the best idea. People will post what they like or dislike.

However not eveyone likes the same things which is why we have such a wide choice of equipment and accessories..

Thanks guys some useful pointers there, should help me begin to get a feel for what I might want.
