Benbo trekker mini head?

Hey,

I just picked up the mini trekker off ebay, but need to get a head for it. I went down to town, and the only benbo head they had was a ball one, unfortunately im after a 3-way head :<

Does anyone know of any heads that are compatible with this tripod?
The guy in the shop tried a giottos head on it (im pretty sure it was this http://www.jessops.com/online.store/products/76236/show.html), but the screw thead on the tripod was too small. He said there might be an adaptor available though, does anyone know?

edit: I have a canon 500D, so need something that is capable of supporting this.

I measured the screw thead with a ruler, and it looks to be about 0.2 inches. Would I be right in thinking its probably a 1/4 head, and I should get one of these convertors?

Yes that will do it, Standard camera bush thread is 1/4 Whit but a lot of tripods come with 3/8 Whit especially the heavier ones.

Not sure if I'm too late, but I recently changed my Benbo head for a Giottos MH 1301-652. You need to use the supplied adaptor screw to get the head to fit. It is a superb head for £70 (got mine from warehouseexpress.com) with smooth ball action and two way spirit level.

Most heads are usually supplied with the adaptor to drop it down to 1/4 inch

I have a B&S head for a Bembo treker mkI should be the same size fitting. It was the head that came with the tripod when I bought it. I later got the head that had the deger markings on the base, so is in a box of bits. So can try and work out a price, PM me if you intrested.

Was just looking on warehouseexpress, gonna get the Giottos MH5011 head. (I think ill just buy the adapter incase, unless someone knows that it comes with one for sure. Only £2 on top)

How does the MH1302-652 work with the Trekker...? I am still using the original, small and quite frankly, pointless b/h that came with the tripod and I have been thinking of upgrading to a larger b/h, but there are so many... I'd be interested to know your thoughts on your new setup, especially in relation to the friction on the ball.
